Christmas Tree Season 2013

The 2013 season is upon as and we are so happy to be opening for our sixth year here at Corner Crest Natural Farm.  As always, we offer a hillside of naturally grown Noble firs and Douglas firs.  Although we lack the official Organic Christmas Tree label, our trees are unsprayed as well as unshaped for a natural and healthy holiday tradition.  We think these trees are lovely and have more character than most of those available elsewhere.  Many folks that come each year also enjoy taking their time to hike around the farm and enjoy the view along with the adventure of finding and choosing their tree.

Buying a live, locally grown Christmas tree also benefits the environment.  Each tree absorbs more than 1 ton of CO2 in its lifetime and each acre provides the daily oxygen requirements of 18 people.  Our farming practices are also Earth-friendly because we do not use chemicals, and we have found that untrimmed, ungroomed trees seem less susceptible to pests and fungus, so they are naturally healthier too.   Live trees are renewable, keep plastic out of landfills, and conserve the resources used in manufacturing them.  Last year Craig planted at least 6 seedlings for each tree we sold and you can see all sizes of young trees from this work to sustain our crop for the future.

We hope you come to share a little holiday spirit with us here at Corner Crest Natural Farm.  Meeting new people and seeing friends from years past is truly a highlight of our Christmas season.
